Congratulations Steve on another fine acquisition (or should I say re-acquisition) to your collection.
I also have one of the 15 Reserve Officer helmets for PB10.

I looked at the Rang list
there were only 12 reserve officers in P B 10
at one given time .
So I M O a rare helmet .
I don't know if you remember or not
but the silk used inside is the one that
Brian & I bought form you at the S O S 2016
It worked out great
the one that was in the helmet was beyond use .
So thanks
you helped with the project

I believe the fittings were aluminium. They were very light and did not have the "colour" of nickel plating. And yes, you do have to be very careful with these 100+ yr old pieces of History.

I did have the pleasure of meeting Neil briefly, at the SOS. He dropped by our tables and introduced himself. It always makes this forum effort worthwhile, when I get a chance to meet up with members personally. :thumb up:
