SOS find. I was pretty happy to find this shoulder board for the Mecklenburg 14th Jäger battalion.

My affinity for the 14th is rather silly and stems solely from the fact that the Shako I wore in high school marching band resembles the Mecklenburg design haha.

As you Jäger collectors are aware, 14th stuff is hard to come by because of the unit size and the fact Mecklenburg collectors are keen on holding onto their items

Hi,
Nice shoulder strap, I'm just surprised the back is blue, according to the Bekleidungsordnung 1896 and 1903 it should be the same green as the uniform. Maybe something special for JB 14.

The seller had two other 14th shoulder boards. They were both grey backed, which I take it to be for great coat(?). Yeah I agree, the blue reverse is interesting.
 
The grey backed would be the M15 pattern. I believe i have one but have to have a look.

Could you please PM me the dealers name and info if I don't have one I would like to get one if possible.

I unfortunately don't remember his name, I think he sold all of them by the end of the show.
