15 Ulanen Regt after fighting in the Hartmannsweiler Kopf

EXCELLENT! Thank you, Pickelmaxime, for sharing! :D
I mention these guys on my page about the Hirtzstein the mountain, south of the HWK. ( http://pierreswesternfront.punt.nl/index.php?r=1&id=534577&tbl_archief=0#534577" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; ) These guys were already involved in the first X-mas Battles for the Hartmannswillerkopf in the period 25 December 1914 - 19 January 1915.
Not to be confused with the somewhat more famous Xmas Battles of the HWK of one year later, the so called "Weihnachtskaempfe", which started at 21 December 1915.
In april this year I will be giving a lecture amongst others about these HWK X-mas battles. So, Maxime, you will probably understand well, why I find this rare picture of U.R. 15 so interesting and why I appreciate it that you share this extra ordinary photo with us!

Leutnant Kuhlenkampf is Kaspar Kuhlenkampff-Post who was later killed as an Oberleutnant and Staffelführer of Schlachststaffel 11 on 20 June 1918. Interestingly, his wartime letters were published after his death under the title Reiter unter Himmel. Kriegsbriefe eines jungen Ulanen und Fliegers.

Regards
Glenn

Pierre,
I'm not sure that this picture is showing the 5/U.15 after the Xmas fights of 1914/15 but most probably after the fights of march 1915. I believe that this picture was made after march 10th, when the "gelbe Brigade" (42. Kav Brigade Heidborn) was retired of the HWK and changed by the Dallmer Brigade.
The picture shows these guys in the barraks of the JzP.5 at Mülhausen, where they were getting some rest after fighting.
Best regards, Mister Grande Guerre!
