Hi to everyone.....
after asking for clarification on some markings that I had difficulty deciphering...I decided to get it and put it in collection.
So, I'm pleased to share my last entry , a 1895 EM Saxon Pickelhaube.
In my opinion is in very good conditions without problems (or at least that I don't see'em)
I love the chromatic effect of the double color on the frontal "wappen"
As usual every opinios are welcome in order to learn more....
Thanks so much and all my best
Giorgio

Giorgio:

A nice acquisition! All original including the Kokarden and the chinstrap, and in good condition. You did well on this piece.

Giorgio,
I really like helmets that have great unit markings and honest field wear .Thanks for posting.
Best regards
John

Beautiful!
For your information, the star is installed upside down. In fact, the Saxon oval should be centered, but it's set too high. So you need to remove the star, turn the Saxon oval upside down, then replace the star in reverse (point towards the visor should be towards the point).

Hi Clovis57, first of all thanks for your opinion and your advice...
honestly, I don't know if I can dare to dismantle the front plate (star and the Saxon oval)... they seem to have been in place for a long time with some points of the star now crushed in the helmet body.
Thanks anyway..I really appreciate your advice
Giorgio
