25TH Wedding anniversary gift from my wife

My wife and I celebrate 25 years of being married tomorrow, and we are flying out this afternoon to Vegas for a little get away. So she says here is your gift, so I open the box and WOW, she has never given me a helmet before, and this one happens to be one on my want list. I have the M1842 with Ludwig wappen, and now from here I received a M1842/48 with Maxiliam II wappen.

I could not ask for a better wife, and now she goes and does this, sneaking around with some of my friends to line this all up for almost a year.

I have put them side by side, and will take more pictures when I get home.

Congratulations! Now let me think how much was it Bavarian Cuirass originally? I think it was one or $2 million…

Good for you !

My wife never gave me a helmet
but she did offer to half the cost of a new addition
to the house that was built to display my collection .

Another thing
over my years of collecting
I have known a few collectors who got a divorce
and had to sell their entire collection to cover
what their wife was awarded .
One of them was a doctor .
