28 Regiment Von Goeben Shoulder Strap

My first pickelhaube (in the picture) is from this regiment and named. Although my collection has really grown, this is my first and will always have a special place in my heart.

I just received an original shoulder strap to display with it, which I got from Brian at Bay State Militaria.

I really like how it looks next to me pickelhaube.

My opinion is that the best way to display a helmet is with an appropriate shoulder strap, or shoulder board for officers. This looks great Peter but be warned……One strap can turn into 100….
