Hi, lastly I said that my British helmet would be my last addition for 2017,
but I could't let these go.....

A Schiessbuch from a Vize-feldwebel from Ersatz-Battalion RIR122, a Kriegsdenkmunze from 1870/71, with aus erobertem geschutz on the side,
a Prussian medal from 1866, which has Königgratz 3 Juli 1866 on it, a medal for the celebration of the 100 year's birthday of Wilhelm I,
and lastly a Prussian Landwehr dienstauszeignung second class.

I just couldn't let these go for 70 euro's...

Greeting's, Coert.

Thanks Steve,

I found a new hosting site for pictures, so I will be updating my other topics here on the forum shortly.
Probably during the Christmas holiday's, I'm too busy working right now...

Greetings, Coert. :)

Ha Ha! Coert, you have a real bad case of militaria collector fever! :D Welcome to the club. Excellent pieces, I would have bought them too. :thumb up:

Thanks gentlemen, :)

Brian, you are right... I collected militaria from when I was about 18 years old, and stopped when getting married and having a son.
But my addiction came back when times got quieter 10 years ago, and with a vengeance.
My livingroom is starting to look like a WW1 museum, :D

Greetings, Coert :thumb up:

Congratulations Coert! Very nice.
Just for info, there were four 1866 Königgrätz medals issued:
One for Königgrätz
One for der Main-Armee
One for Treuen Kriegern
And one for Nichtkämpfer, or non combatants.

I have the first three, but the last one, for non combatants, is very rare. Only 1200 of those medals were ever produced.
I keep looking for one I can afford.

Here's the best site for medal information:

Thanks!

I know the virus is uncurable Jaap, I've tried it but to no avail...
John, this site is one of my favorite sites, I looked at this many times, as you mentioned this site to me earlier. :)
But thanks for mention it here, if I ever find the other ones, you'll see them here. I always scoure the dutch vending sites here..(marktplaats and such)
But the Pficht, treue im Kriege one would indeed be very difficult to find..
If I find one, if, you'll be the first to know.

Greetings, Coert. :thumb up:

John, I just found this on Weitze's site;

https://www.weitze.net/militaria/92/Ordenschnalle_eines_Preussischen_Veteranen_der_Feldzuege_1866_und_des_Frankreichfeldzugs_1870_71__292692.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Maybe it is something to look after.

hi Coert

I know the feeling.

I could't let these go! I have said this many times to my understanding wife.

I like good and interesting stuff.

Congatulations

Kind Regards

Steve
