Great!
Do you have pictures of UR 9-Demmin?
As you know, they were in the Halen fight, August 12th 1914. (3.Kav Bde) They stormed with KR 2.
Thank you,
Francis
Seems to be an experimental helmet. I think I can see that the wappen has been removed...It seems that there is a ventilation system under it, maybe somethink like the helmet I own:
When you look at the original foto without enlarginging it and with a magnefiing glas on to it you obviously see a scroll
i know it sounds nuts but before you al declare me a nutcase it helped with me to see the scroll as you mentiont so i wont speek for everybody to do it my way ......or we all see them flying around:-#
The body from this model is that in corck covered with cloth or is that a leather body
Just want to say wow =P~
Jonas,
Body is leather covered with cloth.
It also has a special neckguard with a two pieces back trim to allow it to flap for better ventilation of the neck area.
It came just as shown.
There is no system (hooks ore holes) on the neckguard to wear such a piece of strap.
I assume it was never attempted for this kind of helmet.
The Ulan is a scroll. I have seen your kind of helmet I believe in the museum at Rastad but it was Saxon. Same elongated ventilation holes in the neck guard.
