Hi All
Can anyone help me find out which Division and brigade the 4th Bavarian
infantry regiment belonged too in 1914.
It is supposedly the 2nd Division but I cant find it in any of my books. I have looked at the other Divisions but as yet still cant find it :banghead:

Stu: According to Histories of the Two Hundred and Fifty-one Divisions of the German Army which Participated in the War (1914-1918), the 4th Bavarian Infantry Regiment was in the 8th Bavarian Brigade. In 1914 the 8th Bavarian Brigade, including the 4th Bavarian Infantry Regiment, was assigned to the 33rd Reserve Division. In August 1916 the 8th Bavarian Infantry Brigade, including the 4th Bavarin Infantry Regiment, was moved to the newly formed 14th Bavarian Division.

I have the book bt the only problem is finding a regiment in it if you dont
know its division :-?
