This Waffenrock just in today.
5 Garde Regt zu Fuss
this unit was raised in 1897
so the blue Waffenrock was only worn until the Feldgrau was issued
note the special cuffs
I owned this Waffenrock pre 1987 and sold it
It has come around again
so I bought it back ( at a higher price than I sold it for , of course )
Happy to have it back home

Very nice helmet
so it looks like it had a leather chin strap with German silver fittings
I thin also that maybe they wore hook on scale chin straps in silver ?
I need to check the reference books
