Good evening gentlemen,

I have had this grouping for some time now and have slowly been tracking down the missing components from the portrait and it's almost complete, when I bought this group a while ago it consisted of the uniform, portrait and some miscellaneous photos of the unit, I've added the belt, medal (which i believe to be the wrong one but it works for now) and engraved sword to the display, i also had the portrait and frame professionally restored as it was damaged when it was mailed here from France, as always thoughts and opinions are welcome!

Great work putting all of that together! That is a gorgeous sword blade, a lot of times the blue-ing fades or gets scratched.

I am still on the hunt for the proper shooting chord and a single mount saint Michael's medal if anyone happens to have them.

I can post some close ups of the blade, it is a nice piece but unfortunately the blade has alot of corrosion damage especially at the tip.
 
So, what shooting cord are you looking for?
Artillery ; Bavarian with 1 shell?

Right now my main objectives would be the bavarian artillery chord with 2 shells and a single mount silver saint Michael's medal
 
Having a photo of THE uniform is awesome. The sword really looks good. Good luck on getting those other pieces you are looking for

It would be interesting if I could ID the man and see what awards he received during the war since I'm certain the portrait was done pre war

This is a great collection! I also collect items from this regiment. I own 2 engraved sabers and 4 reservistenbilder from this regiment.
