Gentlemen,
Proud to share with you the second Haube that I recently purchased together with the JR115 in Arras.
This one stood at the very top of my list and I had to be really, really patient to finally find a pretty good EM helmet of this epic unit. I saw a very very few of them during the last years but never could decide me to purchase one, because there all were not amazing enough for me (no markings or not legible, OYV helmets, bad shape, and so on...).
Now the dream became real and this one crossed my way, exactly as I expected it to be \
/
Clear regimental and bataillon ink markings and near the R100, a BAXII.13 pressed in the leather.
In the shell, there is a maker mark Act. Ges.Thiele Dresden 1913 and an illegible penciled soldier name with a 8/100 (8. Companie) which perfectly fit to the 2. Bataillon.
Shape, finish of leather and fittings are the best I´ve ever seen on such a hard to find LGR100 EM helmet. It looks fine in the glass case, near its two "silver brothers" of the JR115 and LGR109.
Enjoy and please post some picts of your LGR100 EM helmets, they are rarely seen and documented!
