A Bargain

How did we miss that one and why was it so cheap?? :eek: :cry:

The (Reichs) cockade & chinstrap alone are worth twice this amount!!

Anyway, the seller wouldn't have shipped beyond the US it seems (trying to console myself)...

This was one bargain... unless it's a complete phony and we missed that! (which would also justify such a ridiculously low price)
 
What I was looking for on this one were the machining marks from this being tooled over the die. They appear to be there, so although this one has a different curve to the neck guard than mine, and I don't like the way the side lug 'tabs' aren't attached as well as others I've seen, it looks okay. Really though I don't know for sure. Somebody may indeed have gotten a deal. For me, it's one of those 'too good to be true' helmets and I'd have left it.. but that's just ME. A lot of good looking fakes out there.
