For some reason I never got to add a Filzhaube to my collection. I've been screening for one for about half a year but most of the time they're priced too high or they have been bended or ripped or a combination ot both.

I found this one at the Military expo at Ciney in Belgium two weeks ago. It retains a very nice shape just like itshoukld be and I was happy to pick this one up. Allthough it's not rare or special at all. :)

Nice finds! The zouave adrian is quite interesting. I personally have been looking to acquire an AAFS used adrian, but that endeavor is going just as well as you might expect.
 
The felt seems to have that gold paint in the crevices that I see all the time. I have one with gold paint too, I'll post a photo soon. I am still wondering if it was all done post war or during wartime.
