Something is wrong. Another IX mark filz. This one for an VIII Corps unit.
KBA??? for a corps???? Even paranoid people have enemies. What does it say after 162? Alarm bells.

Compare the shape (font) of the numbers in the date with dates stamped in known original helmets.

Hi

Just note that it is the second IR162 pickelhaube on sale on E bay France this week. The first one was a M1895 pattern.
