Very nice . Is that Cornflower Blue? I always thought it would be lighter. I am just asking , the Shimer is Gorgous.

Mark, I would honestly have expected a lighter blue as well for Bayern Jäger. A friend of mine has a Bayern Jäger officer as well, it is also a weird medium blue. I have about 30 + Schirmmütze with blue tops, several are Bayern, and not one cap is the same color. Some caps that by regulation should only be light blue (like a Dragoner with specific colors, so it can only be a Dragoner Regt for example) show up with dark blue tops. Go figure.....

thanks for the info on the color's. As a figure painter , color's always draw question's , and somtimes argument's .

Beautiful cap. Although it is not "grau", I can certainly appreciate the condition and rarity of visor.... :D

Can you share some pics of your figures? What scale and period(s) do you paint? I wouldn't mind a thread on WW1 figure painting and /or models (I paint also).

Dave I do alot of scales .The most common is my napoleonic 15 MM I have about 200 figures painted.I have some 25mm WW1 and 2 and ten 120mm Napoleonic as wellas WW1 ans WW2.
I would like to see a section on this as well . Tony has athe new buetiful color on his site.
I am loooking or a nice WW1 Uhlan or Infantry in M1910.
