Finding a nice M15 Württemberg is not so easy. I've been looking for one so long and finally, a bit unexpected, one was offered together with a very nice Krätchen.
As usual I coudn't resist and they are now together with the others in the bunker...
So, here is the M15...

Congrats Karel, phenomenal condition on that piece! Yes the M15 Wurtt, is a very scarce beast, it took me over 10 years to find mine and I actually beat Tony on finding one. In my experience finding an M15 goes in this order...Prussian, Baden, Bavarian, Saxon, Wurttemberg, followed by the really rare ones like Oldenberg etc. I have never understood why Baden infantry helmets are quite common.

I'm glad you like it guys!
Brian, you might be right about the order of finding M15's... it was almost the same with me... Strange it is indeed. Maybe there was a pile of Baden haubes sitting in some warehause or so? Who will tell...

On my 'to get' list. Ron

Weitze has one for sale, unfortunately the field grey of the spike is different from the rest of the helmets grey parts

At first sight indeed a nice one, but the spike in a really different color wouldn't work for me...

Very nice example indeed. It is true that Wurtemberg 1915's are quite rare. A long time ago I had purchased one online from our friend from Scotland, which turned out to be a fake (the helmet). Bummer. As Didier Laine told me once, "whatever you know, you get screwed sooner or later".

Bruno, I hope you didn't get burned to hard...

Oh I lost money, because when it came to sell it I had to be honest. I had bought it in relative confidence because it was pictured in Bowman's, vol. 2, p83. It looked fine on the (bad) pictures...

Too bad... but life goes on! Anyway, we all get burned sometimes, as long as we learn something out of it, it's not all money lost...
