Greetings from a forum newby.

I was lucky to be up early and searched under newly listed, could not believe this one and it was a buy now to boot.

The group is amazing with extra bits and pieces not seen in the auction, silver graf zepplin pin and Godet medal bags full of ribbon etc, the Haube is near mint.

Great to find an unmessed with direct from the family grouping.

Did you ever get a bargain!! It will be a long time before you find that again!congratulation!

Welcome to the forum great group of people and we could probably spend a month looking at the little bits. There is a mix of Beamte stuff right? Seriously that is really sweet and you are quite lucky!

Hi Jo

The only Beamte item are the Prussian dress boards, the rest is all Saxon Infantry regt 102.

The interesting thing is that the New Zealand Division was engaged against this unit on the western front.

Mike

My God what a score!! Excellent, nice to have that happen after all the hours of searching we collectors engage in and the usual top money that goes out the window on this addiction. A wise man once told me that you make your money going into any deal well you certainly have lucked out on this one. The interior of that helme looks brand new. Terrific condition all round. It would be nice if you could post some of your own close up pics of the items once you receive them. Do you have the name of the original owner? Well done, Brian

Hi Brian

I have all his details his WW1 diary and WW2 reserve Infantry officers side cap are on their way over at present (He did not survive WW2).

I will upload my own images of the Imperial grouping tonight.

Regards

Mike
