I don't know if I believe this research. I've spoken to many modern helmet makers and concussions are something they've all been working to address, so I find this surprising to say the least!

Idon't think they were talking about actual concussions, but the effect of the blast shock wave. All I know about the new helmets is that they are a lot heavier than the old steel pot. I know of a few folks who have neck issues from the weight.

Talking about Adrian helmets, here is a recent acquisition - a good, although well used, Adrian helmet for an officer of the colonial troops. Nice brownish / mustard colour with the typical croissant badge attributed to colonial forces. Those were heavily involved in the combats of the Western front.

Not a common piece to come across in good untouched condition.

Very nice helmet, I have been tempted to add an Adrian to my collection on several occaisions. That custom woven leather chin strap is very cool. :thumb up:
