This scares me!

First off let me mention the seller was an honest advertiser, this was listed as a re-paint with repro liner. The part that scares me is:
A.)Someone paid this much for it anyway.

B.) It is a beautifully executed repro paint job. Whoever did it is a master at aging a new paint. I would have considered buying this myself , but not at that price. It would display very well.

That is why I am reluctant to buy a camo helmet, there are definite ways to tell, but just look at this paint job, my hat is off to the painter.

I painted a convincing camo M16 to use in a history class a few years ago. The students' curious mitts have enhanced the antique look, in fact.

I have one myself, a M17. My kids loved it, they got to handle it, wear it, generally got out of their system that they DO NOT touch Dad's other goodies.

:D

I agree, fantastic job on the outside. Fortunately, the inside colour gives it away. Wow! Brian
