Advice on Hessen Pickelhaube

I saw this one for sale and right away was pretty sure the Wappen and Spike were repros. I did ask for extra photos (attached) and went back to the seller mentioning that it looks like a re-worked helmet. He asked if I could give him some specific so he could update his listing to make sure it is accurate. These are the flaws I see:

• Repro Spike with large domed repro fittings.
• Repro Wappen (Cannot tell if there are extra Wappen holes but looks like the Wappen has bend over tangs instead of loops or posts)
• Repro Chinstrap
• Extra holes where old spike was
• Spine I am not sure if repro or not but definitely a poor fit
• Cockades???

I promised him I would get him an answer so any comments / appreciated.

The seller is a nice guy, retired US Army Sergeant First Class, and I promised him I would give him some feedback on what it actually is so he can adjust his listing and asking price, says he wants to be completely honest.

Looks like bondo was used to fill in the original holes and the spine tang photo obviously shows that it is not original to the helmet.

Yes a definite hack job. Do you think I am right about the repro Spike and Wappen? What about the Cockades?
