I wanted to share with you a picture which I acquired lately. I suppose it’s a group of old comrades. If you look at the helmets in front of them, they could be former members of the Gardes du Corps.

Given the style and quality of the paper I assume the picture is from the late 1950's and was taken in West Germany.
Best wishes,

GardeUlan

I would guess you're right, also in the single photo of the gentlemen he is wearing a Garde star verein pin on his lapel and of course that cap;)

Would have loved to have sat in at the meeting and had a few Biers. I'm sure they some pretty interesting stories to tell. (y)

Semino has retired to Northern Italy.
Yes Thierry, but he still stays sometimes in his apartment in Frankfurt /M. for a few days.
He sold some of the last headgear he still had in Frankfurt...And they were not the worse...So I could acquire for 2 months this one with a great pedigree. The wearer was nobody else than the author of the Bataillon Geschichte which was published in the 30s. (RJB23 formed August 1914 from the JB10).
Mr. Holste was one of the very first 180 war volunteers of 2000 who were admitted in the Goslar JB10 casern on the 8.8.14.

Thank you Philippe,
Since he was "voluntary enlisted", with a Shako "troop"; 0r he was already an 0fficer, in the trenches and at the "Kaffeeklatsch". The social lift, as we say now, worked well.
