Hi there

Apart from my German medical collection, I am passionate about American medicine (and also French)...

I present to you this rare American pharmacy from the Hospitals bases (Nievre) which may have treated your grandparents / great grandparents injured during the WW1 war

What an astounding collection of medical items! It must have taken quite a lot of years to accumulate it all.

In the photo, you will find the bust of a dental surgeon, Dr Wark's cap, an ambulance box and a Dr Wark box, an opthamo box (already presented) and a very complete CASE EMERGENCY.....

 
Dr. WARK's cases (continued)

It is a test box with instruments to treat fractures and it was delivered to some specialist doctors to test the quality of these instruments and give their opinion on the usefulness...... study















 
The Wark family is noted throughout the Vermont Community. Dr. Joseph Wark I graduated from UVM in 1911 and went on to Harvard Medical School. He served in WW1 in the medical field. Post war he returned to his beloved Vermont where he was a noted surgeon and professor at UVM Medical School, as well as serving on the board of directors for other institutions. His son was a vermont doctor as well. The medical pieces you have purchased came from the family home here in Burlington Vermont, Lauanr in which I was able to purchase these items directly from the family through their estate.
