Hi everyone, i have here an Original Trench Knife of American Troops, circa 1918
This piece displays all the characteristics of a period-authentic example, and full originality is guaranteed.

Manufacturer: LF&C
Knuckle duster has been carefully ground down; the blade is in unusually good condition.
Includes the original leather scabbard, featuring minor field repairs.

So i am requesting an estimate of the current market value, because im not sure how these ones are priced at the moment.
Following that, the item will be for sale 🫡🤝

Thanks a lot for your help! ☺️

Best Regards

Definitely original.(y)

It has been converted for use in WWII. You can tell by the use of the WWII US M6 leather Sheath.

Also, they cut down the cross guard and as mentioned removed the knuckle duster.

Here in the US the top retail price would be around 600 but a buyer could get really lucky sometimes and be very happy to pay 400. at a show.

Very nice!

I would add that only the French made Au Lions examples are viewed as being the only maker as having been issued and worn in theater during WW1. The thought is that the US made LF&C's did not make it overseas in time.

I have a few of these. If it has knuckles intact, you can get 1k+ for it. 600-700 sounds about right for it.

If you have an untouched original, you can get 1600 easy. I have people who occasionally offer nearly 2k...

Have a couple of those myself. Even altered, in that particular scabbard, it’s desirable. Provenance, if any would add to the value.
