Here's another interesting helmet to have discussed:

All the Best,

Outside looks good, repro kokarden, chinstrap ?? I don't like the inside at all and I'm not altogether sure what they used for the rivets on the spikes. I saw the profile picture this am and found way more questions/concerns than answers

I agree with Keith, and the seller does say "the liner and possibly the chinstrap are replacements/refurbishments"...
Anyway, looks completely wrong including the shell itself which seems like a modern plastic/fiber one that just came out of some Far-Eastern running shoe factory.

The leather is turned with the hair side out; it's especially apparent on the visor and neck guard. The neck guard is shaped incorrectly, too. This appears to be a modern shell which has been modified with an original front plate and M91 posts. The spine is unvented and does not attach with a square nut. There's no interior reinforcing disc inside the shell and there aren't split brads holding the spike in place. It doesn't appear to be an old helmet with a new liner, but a new helmet with an old plate. The stamp is odd, too. Where's the regimental stamp, the size marking, etc.? The helmet looks a lot like the replicas here:

I agree, there's something not right... especially with the visors displaying the back of the leather cut, rather than the face leather.

[-X The guy is posting and answering his own 'hype the item' type questions, declining big offers in one and now trying to deflect the fact it is a fake by suggesting it is a 'referb' uhg :army: :army:

It's back, with more owner-faked questions:
