This haube with it's ultra long spike is already in my collection for something like 15 years now. It has the longest spike I've ever seen on a pickelhaube... The original owner must have been some kinda fashion-meister I guess...
Also notice the stars and wappen are not fixed with screws, but by split pins...

Absolute beauty.

For some reason the Saxons seem to have gone particularly overboard with the old fashion-spikes. The tallest spikes and kugels I have are both on Saxon helmets.
 
Beautiful Karel. Like always. How tall is that spike from the base of the shell to the spike top? (In mm of course, not in those ghastly medieval inches)

Hey Tony,
If it wasn't for meters, the Gimli glider would have never been, and the Mars explorer would not have crashed into the surface of Mars. At least we do not use the vershok as a measurement.

Joe, never considered a rule, those spikies have to be in good condition and original... d'oh... those are maybe two rules??? 8-)
