As stated in the DougB collection thread, some members were interested in my old Canadian collection so I thought I would post the pics of that here so the Imperial German and Canadian are seperate threads. I really enjoyed putting this collection together, it was a lot of fun and learned a lot along the way.

I love the airborne and tanker items, but the whole collection is amazing.

Thanks John, this was a lot of fun trying to put a complete Canadian WW1 cap badge collection together, and I was able to do it including the mega rare E9 badge, which now resides in the Edmonton Regimental Museum along with a lot of other Edmonton related militaria and those 2 cabinets. I only know of 2 other people who managed to create an entire badge collection of WW1 Canadian cap badges. Maybe someone else has since but now there is an E9 out of circulation so finding one of those to complete the collection that is not one of the Legion Hall's postwar commemorative ones is even harder, as I think only about 10 were ever made.

That and the Bren gun were especially useful on Halloween....

I was lucky that Vic Taboika, who maybe built the largest Canadian collection ever, thinned out and I was his first call after the Calgary Regimental Museum. Vic built an incredible collection and had his own personal 3 story museum with a WW1 and WW2 collection that easily dwarfs anything I have ever seen anywhere of any militaria genre including most museums in terms of variety, rarity and quality. Many vet direct items with incredible histories. I really enjoyed the Canadian side of militaria.
