Another kind of headgear presentation

Just have a look to my "heads gallery" and enjoy it!
All hand made last year and all differents. All the displays are already in private collections to present various headgear and giving private collections a small very particular "museum touch".

Best regards from Germany

Very nice, my personal favorite is "Horace". I like this type of glasses and have a pair myself that I fitted with matching lenses when I was an optician's apprentice.

Those are absolutely fabulous heads Philippe! Only one little problem... It's in French, which I don't really understand well...

What are the eyes made of?
Are the eyebrows painted on, or are they actually hair?
Nice.
Regards,
Brad

Hey, sorry adler!
I know, I have to translate it in english and german soon. That´s not the biggest problem. [-X It´s my part of work.
But I´m afraid to tell that my programming knowledge is a big shame... :hiding: But I have the luck to have my son (17), which is a real master in computer programming and all that stuff his father doesn´t understand much...
But there is something that teenies rarely have for their old militaria crazy fathers... It´s called: TIME... :clock:
No, No, Simon, it was just a joke... :laughing7:
Brad, the eyes are mad of real painted glas and are looking (!) really authentic. My sister in law has visited us a few months ago, and she had to sleep in my work and collection room... She could not fall asleep, because of all the heads with Pickelhauben, which were looking at her in the dark! :laughing3: She really put a bed cover on them, so she could finally sleep! :sleepy2:
Yes, the eyebrows are painted on with different brown nuances to give them volume.
Thank you for your kind feedback!

Mine is 23 now -- works full-time for MSNBC.com -- makes a ton of money but the really good news is he often calls me when driving home from work just to pass the time. He could care less about militaria- none-of the children are interested in this stuff. If they only knew how much money we had tied up in this collecting stuff!

I have a seven-year-old who does a good job of telling a sweatshop-made replica Pickelhaube from an original. He could name most of the parts of a spiked helmet when he was four. Maybe it'll translate into a lifelong interest.
