Another Maker's Mark for the list

Here's another Maker's Mark:

This one is off of a Model 1886, Bavarian Officer's Helmet attributed to a Chevauleger Regiment; however, the same helmet would have been used by the Artillery or the Schwere Reiter. After the 20th of February 1914 this model could have also been used by the Infantry because all Bavarian Officer helmets shifted to rounded chinscales at that time.

John :)

That is not a maker's tag I'm afraid. That is a Siegelmarken (official stationary seal) for letters sent by the Bayerischen 1. Armee-Korps Generalkommando. Someone stuck it in there. Looks good there though.

WOW. I thought that I had seen that tag before. It's been in the helmet ever since I've owned it, and that has been a long time. It's stuck on pretty solid. Sure makes you wonder what happened?
John :-k
