Indeed, another "thing" like that. I have no idea who is, or was, responsible for creating them but they do keep appearing and give the impression of having been around for some years. I have one, bought for £60 years ago out of pure curiosity, and the amount of work that went into creating that fake is truly remarkable. So much effort expended in getting it so nearly right - but still getting it wrong.
Sadly they go on fooling the unknowing and this one proves that includes a a lot of dealers who truly believe they "are" what they seem.
This one has been on sale for months - happily with no takers!

That's why its better for starters to place pictures, or helmets offered on E-bay or other sites here. Here you get an honest answer to your asking about the helmets offered there. We are all collectors here, and you alway's get an honest reply about the helmets.
It is one of the main points about the site here.

Thank you very much, you can learn a lot from photos, that fake stuff bothers me sometimes
