Here's a photo of the Prince-Archbishop -- I wish he was leaning on my kneeler instead of a regular chair! :wink:

Try putting some French words in you google researches, that might help getting better information.

A couple of items related to Monseigneur Prince Charles-Amable de La Tour d’Auvergne-Lauragais, Archbishop of Bourges, France (1826-1879 ~ Reign 1861-1879) that I recently bought off eBay:

CDV Monseigneur DE LA TOUR D'AUVERGNE BOURGES by P. PETIT PARIS c1865 (you can actually see the Archbishop leaning on what is probably a kneeler... ):

Frontpage: " MONSEIGNEUR DE LA TOUR D'AUVERGNE : ARCHEVÊQUE DE BOURGES...

M. le Prince CHARLES-AMABLE de la TOUR d'AUVERGNE LAURAGAIS, nommé, il y a quelques mois,
Archevêque de COLOSSE in partibus infidélium et coadjuteur du siège de BOURGES..."
