Any thoughts on this?

again looks like another NCO or Fanrich helmet with a mix of officer and OR parts. Are all metal parts Brass? Hard to tell in picture, but spike looks silver?

Nice liner and makers tag.

I agree with James.

Looks to me on my monitor like all the parts may be silver. The officer spike looks to be uncleaned, and the rest of the ?silver fittings look to possibly have been cleaned more recently, but still have a bit of a foggy patina on them.

I think it might actually be an original helmet on eBay UK.

I agree all fittings neu silber except for the wappen which is in correct...brass. Excellent original liner....we just see a bit of a sticker pasted on the shell AWES perhaps? A nice helmet which would need a Prussian Pioneer officer wappen and chin strap/scales to complete it in my opinion.
 
Thanks all. EMailed the vendor and he says all the fittings appear brass with the exception of the spike. Will probably give it a miss but many thanks for all your comments
