Then look at 170053348344. one of the really interesting and rare helmets that appeared on ebay lately. Absence of the right scroll on the plate is of concern though, and prevented me from placing a bid.

Very rare indeed! I have never seen one of these but I would echo Bills' comment regarding price. I guess if one already had a wappen from this Regt it might be tempting. Brian
 
I neither said that the price was right, nor that the condition was great, but this is an outstandingly rare and interesting model. The front metal rim, rear spine and tear in the felt all can be fixed. Finding the missing scroll is another story...
