You notice the camp-bed in the first photo? This is the one that belonged to Leopold I. The first "King of the Belgians".

I want to live there...do they have apartments a person can rent out in the basement??.....Thank you so much for posting these, sure would like to visit here one day.
 
Super! When we were there the DRIII wasn't 'flying' over the WWI tanks, so the Renault's TC looked a bit odd looking up at nothing. Now it makes sense! It's a GREAT museum, and FREE! My wife and I enjoyed it and the art museum very much. Of course, we enjoyed Brussels thoroughly as well.

It took us all morning in the Army / Air Museum, but then I had to snuggle up to the MkIV and Renault for a while... so at the very, very LEAST half a day, depending on how much photographing you intend on doing. When we were there, the armor (tank, Panzer) section was closed, but we'd seen or crewed many of the tanks on display. The art (free) and automobile (30Euros or so?) are in the same buildings. :) Also, the exterior architecture, arch and grounds are wonderful, so yeah, probably a whole day in the area, half in the Army Museum.

I love this museum too. I've been there tons of time (20 min away \:D/ )

The part dedicated to world war 1 is unfortunately quite old fashion. They renovated the word war 2 part and it is amazing now.
There is everything a collector could dream of in there.

Have you been there lately?
Is the world-famous Imperial German Pickelhaube collection still accessible ??? (with the new WWI commemoration exhibition...I heard this part was no longer accessible !!!???at least temporary).. :(
the old exibitions are ok to me !

Hi Francis,
I haven't been there lately, and I didn't know about the pickelhaube exhibition; I hope it is not the case.
I'll probably go back at the end of the month, I'll keep you posted.
