The matter of fact we went on Saturday June 14th !!! I couldn't hold my horses.
After the visit to the Historical (museum in the museum) and Tecnical halls (a huge collection of horseshoes...with the hooves still connected...and firearms and edged weapons in all stages of production !) we visited the great Aircraft hall.
After the light lunch we went to visit (what was left of the WW I hall)-no hardware-empty-no Artillery...(makes a gunners heart bleed !).
But the good old headgear collection was there ! (I have to compare with the earlier pics...but I doubt it was the complete collection...can be wrong...

)...
Now the WW II hall. Great displays of unique pieces.
We saved the best for last.
A kind collegue offered to be our guide on our tour in the Great War 100-year commemorative exhibition.
He is the Collection Keeper of the Phaleristic Collection of the Brussels Army Museum. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Phaleristics" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false

. We soon found out that he was closely involved in setting up this fantastic exhibition.
He showed and explained us the link between King Albert of the Belgians and Kaiser Wilhelm II in the exhibition.
Kaiser Wilhelm II and King Albert in Brussels
Kaiser Wilhelm II's Leibhusaren uniform-(only the Attila is from Huis Doorn-the Pelzmütze is not the one of Wilhelm II !). Notice the shorter left sleeve.
This is special:
King Albert's Pickelhaube for "Chef" of the Dragoner Regiment Nr 16. 2nd Hannoversches.
Have a close look and tell me what you (think to)see...
Then it was time for a fine cool Duvel beer !!!
What a day !!!
