I thought I would share photos of the two officer haubes I have which have bright green felt inner body surfaces and red oil cloth sweat bands. The inner body surface has a darker coating over the majority of the felt, which may be part of the process of applying the black outer shellac. One is Prussian, the other Baden. The Prussian has fiber front and back visors; the Baden leather visors. These are the only helmets I have owned in 40 years that had red bands.
