Dear all,

I would like to know your opinion on the following pickelhaube, which I am considering to buy:

I've noticed that the liner is gone as well as the two cocardes. However, the shell seems in a fairly reasonable condition and the front wappen also looks ok.
 
If you look at the shell, you'll notice a huge tear in it by the re-enforcement (for the chin strap lug) on the left side of the helmet (right side of the photo). As is sometimes common, the visor has also shrunken past the trim, so that would have to be fixed as well.
The Kugel has also been modified.
If it were me, I'd let it pass, unless you want it for parts (except the Kugel) / restoration.
