An untouched, uncleaned Prussian M95 EM kugel helm.
This is what they must have looked like when they were handed out.
Hardly used, late production year; 1915, as we can see from the makers stamp “Julius Jansen”
Discovered in a 100 year old medics trunk together with some steel helmets and other souvenirs.
(I do not possess the trunk.)

Excellent find...congratulations. Beautiful patent leather finish on that visor.....exactly what we see in the period photos. No wonder they put the uberzug on!

Thanks everyone. :)
Yes Louise, I’m happy with this one, mint soldiers are a lot harder to find than mint officers.

Ed,

I am finally back on dry land and if you have no objections I would like to take your marks and put them on the website. We already have a 67 but yours is very very clear. Thank you for your consideration!

In all my years of collecting and handling hauben I have only seen one M95 helmet that had its original mirror finish like that visor. Chas bought it from a friend of mine many years ago.
