Nor do I know anything of their history of usage in the war. The fellow I bought this helmet from got it out of a small museum in Russia after the wall came down in 1989.

Any clue as to what H.A stands for, stamped close to the BA # ?..

No idea Bruno. I would like to see the stamp -- it might not say ha at all.
 
Obviously another one of the many fakes produced....have we ever seen a makers ink stamp on one of these before?? Brian
