Picked this up from a good friend, came in the mail today.As pickelhaube's go it isn't that exciting being a fairly common pattern but the markings are fabulous, JR 160 in the flap and the front visor trim has a makers name stamped into it,the first helmet of this type that I have seen so marked.
Liner looks good,chin strap broken but looks original,cockades are original,sadly the helmet plate has a war wound...or been post war wounded.

LOL....as I discovered MOST things are better than that Gus! Im yet to see if I now set off the metal detectors at the airport!

These are some interesting marks. I cannot tell from the picture is that -168 or-160? maybe I am having a brain cramp but what is HA? can you give me better pictures of the marks and may I use them on the list? Thanks!
 
Excellent helme....always love the markings. I also have never seen an HA marking before. The Clemens Company and Osang of Dresden at least pre war, stamped their front visor trim. I have seen this several times on their helmets, always with brass fittings. I do not know of any other company that did this on visor trim. The AWES company always stamped their officer spike and kugel bases.

Thank you – I sent you my email – that is a different kind/style of 160. In addition don't think you are off of the hook… You are the guy that started this HA thing. What to do what to do? :x
 
Joe, Go easy on Andrew, he recently fell on his head, That would not have happened in the northern hemisphere, he would have landed on his backside.

I really do not know haw you guys can stand being upsidedown all the time
