Felt dome, visor and neckguard with rivets.
Headless bird with the attaching loops recently soldered?
:-k

Sounds fishy to me! Never heard before of a black felt covered spiked helmet...
Black felt in perfect condition, moreover... estonian attics must be dry and dust-free.

The construction looks very sloppy and the felt looks soft and pliable, not hard and stiff like a felt shell should be. Personally I would pass on this one.

But --- what do I know? I once passed on an original riveted Haube because I thought it was fake.

John :(

To me, some of the rivets look like pop-rivets, rather than iron. I agree, not worth considering.

Look at the visors, not enough shellac covering the leather, you should not be able to see the flesh side underneath. An elaborate fake!
