Just received this medal. Title is what it was listed as but I cannot seem to find a reference to it anywhere. Regardless I really like it.

I think it's for 1st-year fighters of the war on the Austrian side, much like the 1914 BEF star of the 15-14 star. Although I could be completely wrong because the more I look into it, I find that it is just called a patriotic token or medal, like this one

Thanks Louis. The first one seems to be the same medal but in bronze or gold. Maybe there were different grades or mine may have just worn off?

Very possible, the first one reminds me of once when I found a coin metal detecting and cleaned it in ketchup, it looked the same. Almost as if the outer layer was stripped off.
