Authentic? Repos?

Hi guys- I was just gifted these helmets from my sister — quick question : are they authentic? my sensors think perhaps not.

The one on the right is an older helmet, see the date on the rear visor, which was reissued as an M15. So all brass parts were removed, and exchanged for the grey ones. Both of them look completely original, nice gifts!
 
Very nice gift, I think you owe your sister a big bunch of flowers for that !

Welcome to the forum. The original plate holes are the ones with the factory installed steel grommets. The spike tops on both helmets seem not to be original to the helmets as the paint colour is different from the rest of the fittings. However, both spike tops are original. Many model 1895 helmets with brass fittings were reworked and converted to M15’s. During this process, all brass fittings were removed including often the brass grommets.
