After a dry spell of over a year's time of not finding any helmets out of the woodwork, I finally found a nice helmet to keep for the collection.

Baden enlisted pattern M95 complete with original chinstrap and kokardes.

Issue marked to the 110th Regiment, 1913 dated on rear visor.

Size "56", dated 1913 and and maker marked inside helmet body.

Tip of brass spike is dented in a bit, unfortunately. Finish is very nice on the helmet body.

Baden kokarde is in perfect condition, and the Reichs kokarde shows a little wear and oxidation spotting.

The Baden wappen has most of the mercury fire gilding present.

This one made the long wait definitely "worth the while" so as to say.

Best Wishes,

Alan

Thanks for your nice comments gentlemen, I appreciate it!

"Out of the woodwork".... I was expecting to see a half-wreck, Alan... but this helmet is impeccable!
Yes, some of the helmets I have found out of the woodwork have been a half-wreck or a "train wreck" and in need of Brian working on them. Thanks Bruno! ;)

It's nice to find one for a change that does not need any work or parts.

Screwable spike, as expected!

Yes, thanks Philippe! I only wish that it was named, but I don't see any pencil marks inside.

II Battalion stationed in Heidelberg, wearing a white hair plume for parade?

Thanks,

Alan

Beautiful piece! Did it come with a helmet cover? I ask because it looks like there are fabric marks on some parts of the shellac.
