Baden GR 110

Hi guys,

Need some enlightenment.

I thought Baden units are part of the B. A. XIV armee Corp but this one is stamped GR 110 1916 B. A. XI..

I am confused and the other GR 110 of black liner of mine has the same stamping both on the rear visor and inside the helmet skull.

From your pictures,it looks to me like whoever stamped it ran out of space for the V. The placement chosen for that stamping does not allow enough space for XIV.

I thought the same as Brian. Look at "1916" beneath BA XI: it is not in the middle of the line as it should be. It should be in the middle if BA XIV was above.
Besides, I cannot see any reason why a Baden helmet should be marked BA XI.

Found a similar stamping of BA XI in another GR110 helmet? This time possibility is the ink vanished? Just too much of coincidence that have me wandered.

It really couldn't be B.A. XI
Baden = B.A. XIV
So I guess, I have to draw a V on it. LOL....

It may be something unique to this regiment. I have a 110th regiment M15 with superb markings
