Got this helmet few days back and only opened the box today. Nice item but not sure if it is correct where there is only the fieldbadge. Thought there should be a national cockade on the right side as well? Correct me if I am wrong.

The Reich's Kokarde was worn after 1897 but only by Reich's assets, like all military units etc. If it was a Kingdom or Dutchy asset (like police, customs etc.) those units did not wear a Reich's Kokarde. I am not familiar with how the Landwehr fit into the heirarchy.

I can't help with the cocarde info but what a lovely helmet!!

Any traces were the cocarde should be ?
