I believe it did have a Prussian reserve cross
The helmet was "minty "
The fact was pointed out to the seller and he said
that he would get the correct cross for the helmet .
I don't consider that a moral sin .
I am 99 % sure that the helmet sold .
There was another Baden L G R 109 active officers
helmet on the table of Brian Sanders .
There is one small chip in the red enamel .
Interesting to me about it ;
an old story . I owned the helmet up until 1992 .
That was the year that I sold all my non - Prussian helmets .
It went to a collector named Alan Williams in Indiana .
Alan sold his collection and Brian bought the collection .
It is the same helmet .
If you have or have seen the Sanders photo book
on helmets , it is the same helmet shown in the book .
I think lost skeleton was taking a look at it .
If you like Husaren officers there were 2 real nice ones there .
Garde Husaren reserve and H R 7
both in opossum

Hi,
As you are most probably aware I have a Pickelhaube with a Landwehr wappen and a Prussian cross, in one of the posts above another is mentioned with the same set up, this being the third that I have come across.
Does anyone have details of any others set up like this and could it be possibly due to shortages of the correct cross?
