Baden Vs. Lippe Officer Cockades

Gents,
How can one tell a Baden Officer Cockade from a Lippe one?
Baden is Yellow-Red-Yellow
Lippe is Yellow-Red

But I've noticed that the Baden Officer Cockade tends to show the Yellow-Red only do how can one tell it from its Lippe Counterpart?

Here's an example of a Baden Officer Cocakde: http://www.kaisersbunker.com/dunkelblau/helmets/dbh04.htm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Baden Officer Kokarde:

Not many Officers in the IR55/III Bn-ID13: so I'd say scarce as hen's teeth.... :-?
The Lippe Kokarde only has two rings: yellow/gold on the outside with red centre.

Hey Francis,

What you say sounds logical as Officer's patterns should be similar to Mann. in terms of color 'coding'.
However, here's a couple of examples of Baden Officer Pickelhaubes with a red center:

http://historical.ha.com/c/item.zx?saleNo=6088&lotIdNo=40098" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

And I remember seeing several of Karel's Baden Off. Haubes that have this Gold & Red Cockade too... :o
Here's one example: http://www.pickelhaubes.com/bb/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=7817&hilit=baden+officer" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Ron,

You're right Ron.

Could it be possible that the "yellow/gold" centre ring is masked by the sidepost rosette ?
Perhaps Karel can tell/show us ?

The example I posted is not of my helmet.
Question; is this Kokarde pattern correct on a Baden Officers helmet ?

Rgds,
Francis

Salut Francis,
It took me a while to remember where I had seen an M1915 Baden Officer Pickelhaube completely dismantled. Here's the thread: http://www.pickelhaubes.com/bb/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=1865&hilit=natural+diffused+light" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;.
Scroll down a bit and you'll see Chas's photo clearly showing that Baden cockade with only a red center disk :o
I bet you Karel's Baden Off. cockades are the same... Pretty confusing if you ask me!

What actually got me started with this thread is a post by the infamous -- soon I'll be sharing in details why he's been added to my Black List :evil: -- S.Semmino who attempted to sell me the below "Lippe Off. Pickelhaube" which turned out to be "questionable", to say the least, like ALL the helmets I had been discussing with him lately (including the "Kaiserliche Tropenhelm" and the infamous "Seebataillon Shako" that I posted here)!! As per the extra photos he shared with me, this turned out to have an extra hole behind the wappen. Coupled with a cockade which could be just a Baden specimen same as the ones we're discussing here, it seems like this helmet began its life as a (nice) Baden M15 that he's trying to pass for a rare Lippe Regt. 55 M15 (asking price: €2,400)!!
