Based on this sign these have to be landwehr Ubung soldiers. There is no landwehr cross on the pickelhaube. Is there a who can tell me anything about them and their unit based on these fuzzy shoulder board pics?

Oh yea; easy one. That's Kgl. Bayer. 3. Infanterie-Regt. Prinz Karl von Bayern (Augsburg) I Bayer. Armee-Korps. Have alook at this link to see this cypher, as sadly, this is one of the straps I am missing so I cannot show an original. http://www.kaisersbunker.com/gtp/straps.htm

No. Here are the other two helmets. I wouldn't bet the farm on any of these.

Crosses seem seldom if ever to be found on Ubung pictures.

I don't know why. Thanks for that help on the shoulder strap, easy for you, but not so easy for me. In 1910, landwehr wearing an active shoulder strap seems odd. Perhaps they were fitted out in gear by the Kammer of the company with what ever they had?????? That makes identification of units quite difficult. It also begs the question of who wore landwehr crosses in the enlisted ranks? Officers are easy compared to issued helmets in this regard.
