BTW: Leib: The title ‘Leib’ means a regiment / Unit where one or more members of the rulers family serve or have served, e.g. the Leibgarde Husaren Regt or Leibhusaren; Leib Kürassier Regt etc...

Superb helmet James. It will be close to perfect once the shell has been put back in shape. These white metal chinscales are seldom found.
It looks like J. Berger was an Einjahriger .... Infanterist (?). Can someone decipher?....

yes Alan, on my computer I could not tell if it was silver or brass, and the seller did not answer my questions. So I took a gamble and came out well.
